Here at Garforth Logs and Firewood we supply softwood firewood logs. Well seasoned firewood is easier to light, produces more heat, and burns cleaner. All our logs are properly split and dried and contain a lower moisture count, which in turn ensures your firewood will burn consistently and with very little smoke. The moisture content in a non-seasoned log will be around 30-45%, however, a seasoned log will be much less at around 15-20% giving you more heat into your home. Remember, Dry wood burns very hot which heats up the flue, creating a fast draw, and sending the small amount of vapours out of the chimney before they get a chance to condense. All our logs have been cut and split to enhance the drying process further. All our wood is sourced and harvested from sustainable managed woodland by ourselves and therefore have continued supplies all year round.
